All types of debit and credit card transactions of United Commercial Bank (UCB) will be closed for four hours on Friday. At this time, no customer can withdraw money from the bank's ATM booth.
Nehal A. Huda, head of UCB's card division, said that this would be a temporary problem as the system would be developed from 1am to 5am on February 18. He also said that the customers have already been given SMS about the matter.
Meanwhile, the AMS, which had earlier expressed regret over the incident, said that all UCB debit and credit card services would be suspended from 1am to 5am on February 18 for system development.
